Day 1 : Saigon - Ben Tre (L, D)
  • On arrival, take a Xe loi ride through the local village of Huu Dinh to enjoy the green fields and gardens. Continue with a short walk to Huu Phuoc Bridge, where you will start your boat trip through small canals with beautiful tropical scenery. On board the boat, enjoy a welcome drink and tropical fruits while cruising.
  • The cruise will first stop at a family owned Coconut Processing factory, learn how every ounce of the coconut is utilized. Then cross the river to a brick making operation, where the locals still use centuries-old traditional methods to make the bricks by hand. Enjoy a casual cycling trip that will take you to the local house of Mr. Long. Mr. Long and his family have a very interesting bee farm, where they process honey for the local market.
  • Continue on to a local rice noodle factory which produces Hu Tieu noodles, one of the most popular dishes in the region. After your visit take a short walk to one of our friends, Mrs. Huong, who lives with her 3 children and grandson – they live on fishing, shrimp and fruit orchards. Enjoy fresh fruits and tea and then board a rowing sampan taking you through a lush narrow canal, displaying the tranquil nature of the region.   
  • After our team rows you through the quiet canal, reconnect with your Day Cruiser and enjoy a cruise to Mango Home. It is time for you to relax and check-in, after freshening up from the day’s activities enjoy a five course lunch of local specialties, some grown organically in the Mango Home garden! 
  • After lunch, enjoy a visit to Mr. Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier who survived two years fighting the Khmer Rouge in Phnom Penh. Now he and his wife live on making rice paper which is the most famous specialty of My Long village. Have a chat with him and enjoy the crispy rice paper made by his wife, and see how it is made.
  • Return to Mango Home, perhaps it is time to relax at one of the nice sitting areas? In the early evening prepare to join the cooking demonstration with your guide. 
  • Overnight will be spent at Mango Home.
Day 2 : Ben Tre - Giong Trom - Saigon (L, D)
  • Breakfast will be served on the verandah, then you will take our beautiful day cruiser to Tai Phu canal. You will cycle in a very quiet area and eventually reach the My Long wet market by crossing the bridge. 
  • Enjoy a walk through the market, which offers everything from fresh seafood, meat, vegetables and even dry goods and clothing. You will also have a chance to see a family owned shrimp farm. 
  • Cycle to Phong Nam village to see a local Cao Dai Temple and learn about their traditions and beliefs. Return to Mango Home, and freshen up before enjoying a five course lunch. 
  • After lunch, take a stroll through the garden and then check-out and take a final boat cruise into Ben Tre city. Your private car will be awaiting you and will return you to HCMC.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Saigon - My Tho - Mo Cay - Vung Liem (L, D)
  • Upon arrival, you will board your Mango cruise boat at Chuong Duong Pier and head to An Hoa River. Enjoy your welcome drink and peaceful scenery while crew members board your luggage.
  • The cruise will take you to Phong Nam village in Giong Trom, where you will take a rowing sampan boat through the small canals, which are covered green by the water coconut plants. Stop at a local house to taste the tropical fruits and chat with the farmer. Visit the rice noodle factory before starting your bike trip around the village.
  • Relax and enjoy lunch at Mango Restaurant before getting back on the boat and continuing to cruise to Mo Cay canals. Stop for a visit at the coconut processing workshop where you can see how the locals utilize every bit of the coconut.
  • Continue cruising to Vung Liem province and stop for a visit at the brick making factory. Here you will see how bricks are made using traditional methods, which are centuries old.
  • Return to your boat and freshen up for your cooking demonstration and dinner on board. The rest of the evening will be spent at your leisure.
  • Overnight will be spent onboard in Vung Liem town
Day 2 : Vung Liem - Tra On - Can Tho (B, L, D)
  • In the morning, breakfast will be served on board before starting to explore the town of Vung Liem by bicycle. Visit the Happy Buddha Temple, a beautiful and characteristic Kh’mer Temple of this small town. After that continue on to visit the Cao Dai Temple in one of the most popular local religions, which is a combination of Taoism, Buddhism and Confusium.
  • The boat will then cruise to Tra On where we will stop for the night. While on board, freshen up, and then head to the deck where you will have a cooking demonstration before enjoying a delicious, 5-course dinner onboard. The rest of the evening is spent at your leisure.
Day 3 : Can Tho - Cai Rang - Ninh Kieu - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
  • Get up early in the morning and your breakfast will be ready out the Deck. Freshen up for the early boat trip to the spectacular Cai Rang floating market, where you will transfer to a smaller boat and mingle amongst the thousands of trading vessels. Feel free to buy yourself fruits or drinks from the local boats.
  • After your market visit, return to your Mango Cruise, and soak in your surroundings.
  • Time to check out and you will be dropped off at Ninh Kieu quay in Can Tho, and preparing for your onward trip or drive back to HCMC.

  • Breakfast will be served onboard and cruising towards the town of Sa Dec and you will start to explore this charming town, where it is the backdrop for the film ‘The Lover’, based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Marguerite Duras.The story is about a teenage French girl who falls in love with a wealthy Chinese man, Huynh Thuy Le. You will visit his old family home as well as the high school where Marguerite’s mother was a teacher. Then, you will continue with cycling through the village of Tan Qui Dong. For hundreds of years this village has provided Saigon with its daily flower supply. After that, meeting your driver on land for your return to Saigon or your onwards trip. End of tour.

Here you will see how bricks are made using traditional methods, which are centuries old Heading to Vung Liem in the late afternoon and relax while you watching the sunset.

Day 2 : Vung Liem - Giong Trom (B, L, D)
  • In the morning, breakfast will be served on board before starting to explore the town of Vung Liem by bicycle. She became a famous writer and her own true story soon became well known. Get back to the cruise and head to Cai Be while you enjoying a refreshing welcome cocktail on the deck while meeting your crewmembers and enjoying the scenery and fresh air from the water. 
  • The cruise will take you to Long Trung village where you will get off the boat and take the small sampan trip through the small and tranquil canals of Tra Tan .   • The cruise will take you to Phong Nam Village where you will start a Bicycle trip through gardens and rice paddies. Stop at a rice noodles factory “hu tieu” is one of most popular breakfast dishes in the region. Take a short walk to visit at Mrs. Huong’s home. Her family lives on fishing, shrimp and farming. Enjoy the tropical fruits and honey tea in her garden before taking the rowing sampan; be paddled by a personalized rower to discover the maze of small canals.
  • Then row back to your cruise and lunch will be served on board while heading to Sa Dec via My Tho. On the way we will stop for a visit at the floating fish farm and experience the local river culture. Getting back on the boat and cruise towards the town of Sa Dec where your boat will anchor for overnight. Day 2 : Sa Dec - Long Xuyen (B,  L, D)

  • Start cruising to Long Xuyen and on the way we will stop to explore more of the local villages by bike or walk and this will be a great chance for interacting with the friendly locals. Get back to your boat and Lunch will be served onboard. As you continue cruising, you will start to notice more houses on stilts and an increase of flooded fields. This area is prone to severe flooding and as a result, is one of the Delta’s poorest regions. Arrive in Long Xuyen, you can stop for a good picture of the Long Xuyen floating market during the sunset. Freshen up and prepare for your dinner on board.
  • Your cruise will anchor near Chau Doc. Spend the remainder of the evening at your leisure. Overnight stayed on board.
Day 3 : Long Xuyen - Chau Doc - Saigon (B)
  • Start the morning with breakfast on board while cruising to Chau Doc. On the way we will stop to visit the local villages on the way. On arrival, switch to the small boat to visit the Cham Islamic village in Chau Giang, one of the biggest Muslim towns in Vietnam where the locals speak both Vietnamese and Cham languages. They read the Quran in Arabic and, of course, all the men in the village wish to travel to Mecca once in their lifetime. You will visit the Mubarak Mosque, which is one of the mosques in the Chau Doc area.
  • The cruise will then make its way to the pier in Chau Doc town, where you will be dropped off.
  • At this point you can either return to HCMC via private car, or continue on to Phnom Penh by boat.

Day 3 : Cai Be - Ben Tre - Saigon (B)
  • Arrival in Cai Be, you will be explore the lively floating Market and its bustling township and enjoy the houses on stilts along the River bank and local businesses.
  • Return to Ben Tre where is famous for the coconut. Disembark and transfer to Saigon by car.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Saigon - Ben Tre (L, D)
  • On arrival, take a Xe loi ride through the local village of Huu Dinh to enjoy the green fields and gardens. Continue with a short walk to Huu Phuoc Bridge, where you will start your boat trip through small canals with beautiful tropical scenery. On board the boat, enjoy a welcome drink and tropical fruits while cruising.
  • The cruise will first stop at a family owned Coconut Processing factory, learn how every ounce of the coconut is utilized. Then cross the river to a brick making operation, where the locals still use centuries-old traditional methods to make the bricks by hand. Enjoy a casual cycling trip that will take you to the local house of Mr. Long. Mr. Long and his family have a very interesting bee farm, where they process honey for the local market.
  • Continue on to a local rice noodle factory which produces Hu Tieu noodles, one of the most popular dishes in the region. After your visit take a short walk to one of our friends, Mrs. Huong, who lives with her 3 children and grandson – they live on fishing, shrimp and fruit orchards. Enjoy fresh fruits and tea and then board a rowing sampan taking you through a lush narrow canal, displaying the tranquil nature of the region.   
  • After our team rows you through the quiet canal, reconnect with your Day Cruiser and enjoy a cruise to Mango Home. It is time for you to relax and check-in, after freshening up from the day’s activities enjoy a five course lunch of local specialties, some grown organically in the Mango Home garden! 
  • After lunch, enjoy a visit to Mr. Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier who survived two years fighting the Khmer Rouge in Phnom Penh. Now he and his wife live on making rice paper which is the most famous specialty of My Long village. Have a chat with him and enjoy the crispy rice paper made by his wife, and see how it is made.
  • Return to Mango Home, perhaps it is time to relax at one of the nice sitting areas? In the early evening prepare to join the cooking demonstration with your guide. 
  • Overnight will be spent at Mango Home.
Day 2 : Ben Tre - Giong Trom - Saigon (L, D)
  • Breakfast will be served on the verandah, then you will take our beautiful day cruiser to Tai Phu canal. You will cycle in a very quiet area and eventually reach the My Long wet market by crossing the bridge. 
  • Enjoy a walk through the market, which offers everything from fresh seafood, meat, vegetables and even dry goods and clothing. You will also have a chance to see a family owned shrimp farm. 
  • Cycle to Phong Nam village to see a local Cao Dai Temple and learn about their traditions and beliefs. Return to Mango Home, and freshen up before enjoying a five course lunch. 
  • After lunch, take a stroll through the garden and then check-out and take a final boat cruise into Ben Tre city. Your private car will be awaiting you and will return you to HCMC.
